TESOL InternationalMuch like the Language Magazine, this source provides teachers with resources to help them become a better ESL teacher. This website features publications relating to ESOL teaching methods and standards as well as information about upcoming opportunities for professional development. For example, in their book entitled A Multilingual Turn, Garcia and Flores (2014) discuss how the Common Core State Standards don’t take ELLs into consideration. TESOL international would be a place teachers could go to find information on how to address this issue in their teaching. That is just one topic addressed by this source. Teachers could use TESOL International to help them address many issues revolving around the teaching of ELL students.

Stanford CLAD ELL ModulesThis source is a fantastic place for teachers to go when looking to further their knowledge on a subject. This site offers courses that cover many different content areas and academic issues. Each course provides material that can be downloaded that covers the material, how the topic relates to the Common Core State Standards, as well as various videos, lesson resources, and assignment templates/suggestions. One specific way this source could be used has to do with a course relating to language contend instruction at the elementary level. Zwiers (2014) discusses the incredible importance of explicitly teaching ELL students’ academic English. He calls it ‘fortifying complex output’. Courses like the one offered on this website can help teachers ‘fortify complex output’ among their students which provides them with the foundation they need to be able to talk about the content they are learning.
